How do I apply to the Citizens Police Academy?
2025 Sapulpa Citizens Police Academy
- Application Deadline: February 28th, 2025
- Academy Dates: March 6th – June 5th (Academy Graduation Date Is June 5th)
- Location: 20 N Walnut St, Sapulpa OK, 74066 (Sapulpa Police Station)
- Time: 6:00p.m. – 8:00p.m. every Thursday
The requirements for eligibility in the Sapulpa Citizens
Police Academy are as follows:
- Must be 21 or older.
- Possess a valid Driver’s License.
- Be able to pass a criminal background check.
- Cannot have a protective order against you.
- No felony convictions.
The rules for participating in the Sapulpa Citizens Police
Academy include, but are not limited to:
- Mandatory attendance to first class or your application is
rescinded. - Mandatory attendance to gun safety class to participate in firing
range class. - Ninety percent (90%) attendance required. Academy will
consist of 1 night a week for 14 weeks; each class is 2 hours. - Punctuality is a must (we have very little time)
- Class participation/attention required.
- Attention and respect to all staff and instructors required.

- Use of Force
- Patrol Tactics, Traffic Stops, Building Searches
- Child Abuse, D.V., P.O., EOD
- Simulators/D.V. Scenario
- Communications, Dispatch, Jail, Sex Offenders
- Court Room
- Gun Range
- SWAT
