How do I apply to the Citizens Police Academy?

2025 Sapulpa Citizens Police Academy

  • Application Deadline: February 28th, 2025
  • Academy Dates: March 6th – June 5th (Academy Graduation Date Is June 5th)
  • Location: 20 N Walnut St, Sapulpa OK, 74066 (Sapulpa Police Station)
  • Time: 6:00p.m. – 8:00p.m. every Thursday

The requirements for eligibility in the Sapulpa Citizens
Police Academy are as follows:

  1. Must be 21 or older.
  2. Possess a valid Driver’s License.
  3. Be able to pass a criminal background check.
  4. Cannot have a protective order against you.
  5. No felony convictions.

The rules for participating in the Sapulpa Citizens Police
Academy include, but are not limited to:

  1. Mandatory attendance to first class or your application is
    rescinded.
  2. Mandatory attendance to gun safety class to participate in firing
    range class.
  3. Ninety percent (90%) attendance required. Academy will
    consist of 1 night a week for 14 weeks; each class is 2 hours.
  4. Punctuality is a must (we have very little time)
  5. Class participation/attention required.
  6. Attention and respect to all staff and instructors required.

  • Child Abuse, D.V., P.O., EOD
  • Simulators/D.V. Scenario
  • Communications, Dispatch, Jail, Sex Offenders
  • Court Room
  • Gun Range
  • SWAT
