LEARNING SKILLED ACTION
Police action encompasses various dimensions, and alongside cultivating compassion and fostering community connections, we are dedicated to preparing you for physical interventions when necessary. The Academy trainers will equip you with practical expertise through hands-on experiences encompassing a range of custody and control techniques, firearms and driver training, as well as emergency medical skills.
SCENARIO TRAINING
As you near the completion of your scenario training, you will face a comprehensive assessment that puts all your acquired knowledge to the ultimate test. This assessment will require you to apply your classroom learning, community policing experience, department policies and procedures, and physical training to effectively tackle various real-world scenarios. Designed to challenge your command of the material, these scenarios serve as the culmination of your Academy training, ensuring you are fully prepared for the demands of your future role.
FIELD TRAINING
Upon successful completion of classroom instruction, skilled training, and scenario-based exercises, you will embark on the crucial transition from the classroom the streets. During this phase, you will be partnered with an experienced officer who will guide and mentor you as you apply the practical skills you have acquired in real-world situations. Throughout this period, your field training officer will closely observe and analyze your performance, providing valuable feedback. This mentorship ensures that you develop into a highly capable and proficient officer, dedicated to serving and safeguarding your community with utmost competence.
