Mike Reed, Chief of Police
Chief of Police Mike Reed began his law enforcement career with the Sapulpa Police Department on April 1st, 1989. He spent 10 years in the patrol division before promoting to Corporal in the Detective Division in 1999. As a detective, he worked on a variety of cases including homicide, robbery, sex crimes, child abuse, burglary, and others. Chief Reed was promoted to Sergeant in 2002 while serving as a detective.
Chief Reed was promoted to Lieutenant in October 2005 and was reassigned to the Patrol division as a squad commander. He was promoted to Captain in April 2006 and was assigned as the Services Division Commander, overseeing the daily operations of the jail, 911/communications center, records division, and animal control. Reed was then promoted to Major in October 2007. In 2013 Reed transferred divisions to become the Detective Division Commander where he served until being appointed Chief of Police on September 1st, 2020.
During his career, Chief Reed has served in numerous roles within the department. Some of these roles include SWAT team (operator, team leader, and team commander), Honor Guard, Field Training Officer, Instructor for firearms, Taser and Less Lethal. Reed was also a department armorer for Glock handguns, Remington shotguns, and Colt rifles.
Chief Reed has a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice Administration, is a graduate of the National Fire Academy for Fire/Arson Investigation in Emmitsburg, Maryland in 2000, and is a graduate of the 229th Session of the F.B.I. National Academy in Quantico, Virginia in 2007.
Rob Glenn, Deputy Chief of Police
Deputy Chief, (DC) Glenn has over 31 years in Law Enforcement. He is responsible for overseeing all day-to-day operations within Patrol, Investigations, and Services Divisions. He also oversees various programs and special projects.
D.C. Glenn joined the Sapulpa Police Department in 1994. Throughout his career has held numerous supervisory positions to include Sergeant, Lieutenant, Captain, and Patrol Major. He was assigned to the Drug Enforcement Administration, (DEA) Task Force for 10 years and has also served as a K-9 officer for the Department from 1998-2006. Glenn served 26 years on SWAT and held multiple positions within the team. Glenn held the title of Team Commander from 2012- 2020 before stepping down to perform the role of Deputy Chief.
Prior to joining the Sapulpa Police Department, D.C. Glenn served in the United States Navy as a Military Police Officer, (MAA). During his tours, he performed the duties of command investigator, and training officer for Naval Air Station Whiting Field and onboard the U.S.S. Iwo Jima, (LPH-2).
Jason Deloache, Patrol Division
Major Jason Deloache has 25 years of law enforcement experience. He is responsible for overseeing all day-to-day operations in the Patrol Division. Major Deloache also oversees various programs related to the patrol division to include the departments Reserve Officer program and recruiting.
Major Deloache joined the Sapulpa Police Departments Reserve Officer program in 1997 and was hired as a full-time patrol officer in 1998. Throughout his career, Major Deloache has held supervisory positions including Sergeant, Lieutenant, Captain, and currently Major.
During his career, Major Deloache served 10 years on the department’s Honor Guard team and 16 years assigned to the department’s SWAT team and held the position of element team leader.
Major Deloache is a graduate of the FBI-LEEDA supervisor leadership institute.
Philip Diehl, Services Division
Major Philip Diehl has served with the Sapulpa Police Department since August 16th of 2002. He was promoted to the rank of Sergeant In 2011, Lieutenant in 2016, Captain in 2020, and was appointed as Major two months later in 2020.
Major Diehl is currently serving as the Services Division Commander which includes Administrative and Technical Services, Communications (Dispatch), Records, School Resource Officers, Chaplains, Emergency Management, Mental Health, Peer Support, and Training for the department. During his tenure at Sapulpa, Major Diehl has served as a patrol officer, field training officer, patrol supervisor, and spent 7 years assigned as a school resource officer for Sapulpa Public Schools.
Major Diehl graduated from Sapulpa High School in 1996 and East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma in 2000 where he earned a B.A. in Criminal Justice. In 2022 Major Diehl received the FBI-LEEDA trilogy award for Leadership Training. Major Diehl began his law enforcement career as a reserve officer for the Ada Police Department in 1999. In 2000 Diehl was hired by the Pauls Valley Police Department where he served for 9 months as a dispatcher/reserve officer and then just over a year as a full-time officer before coming to Sapulpa. In all Major Diehl has served 20 years with the Sapulpa Police Department and over 23 years in law Enforcement.
Terry Wiggs, Detective Division
Major Terry Wiggs has over 25 years of Law Enforcement experience and is a graduate of the FBI-LEEDA supervisor leadership institute. He is the Detective Division Commander and is responsible for overseeing all investigations conducted by the Sapulpa Police Department.
Major Wiggs joined the Sapulpa Police Department in 2004. Throughout his career has held numerous supervisory positions including Sergeant, Lieutenant, and Captain. During his career with SPD Major Wiggs has served on the SWAT Team, The Drone Unit, Field Training Officer and was the Special Enforcement Team Commander for two years.
Prior to joining the Sapulpa Police Department, Major Wiggs served in the United States Army Reserve for 8 years as a Military Police Officer and a Reserve Police Officer for the Tulsa Police Department for 5 years.
