BECOME A RESERVE OFFICER

The Sapulpa Police Officer Reserve position offers a highly fulfilling role that allows you to make a meaningful contribution to your community. As a reserve officer, you will have the opportunity to assist in various important tasks, such as providing support during special events, facilitating prisoner transports, managing crowd control situations, and offering your services when additional staff is required.

  • Unpaid
  • Required 8 hours monthly
  • All equipment is provided including firearm
  • No cost for training

The following required documents should be presented to Human Resources when applicants arrive for the physical and written tests.

  • Birth certificate: The birth certificate must be a certified state issued document.
  • Education: If applicable, provide degree or official transcript showing semester hours completed from an accredited high school, college, or university.
  • Military: If applicable, provide DD214 long form and/or official military records verifying length of service.

Minimum Qualifications Include:

  • Must be 21-45 years of age
  • Must have a High School Diploma/GED
  • Must have a valid drivers license
  • Must pass a MMPI 
  • Must pass a background investigation
  • Must pass a polygraph
  • Must pass oral interview board
  • Must pass a physical fitness test
  • Must pass a physical as required by Oklahoma Police Pension Board
  • Good moral character
  • Felony convictions
  • Domestic violence convictions
  • Crimes of moral turpitude
