What is Exploring?
Exploring exists to teach important life and career skills to young people from all backgrounds through immersive career experiences and mentorship provided by community and business leaders. Together, we equip young people with character, leadership, and live skills that can be used both today and in their future careers.
The purpose is to provide experiences to help young people mature and to prepare them to become responsible and caring adults. Explorers are ready to investigae the meaning of interdependence in their personal relationships and communities.
Exploring is based on a unique and dynamic relationship between youth and the organizations in their communities. Local community organizations initiate a specific Explorer post by matching their people and program resoures to interests of young people in the community. The result is a program of activities that help youth pursue their special interests, grow, and develop into strong career oriented leaders within the community.
